ASP.NET AJAX Training Overview
Accelebrate's Beginning ASP.NET AJAX using Visual Basic training class teaches attendees to develop rich Internet applications using ASP.NET AJAX and Visual Basic. This course is current to ASP.NET 4.0 and Visual Studio 2010 and includes an introduction to the popular JavaScript library jQuery, which is now bundled with ASP.NET AJAX.

ASP.NET AJAX Training Prerequisites
All students should have a good working knowledge of Web application development using ASP.NET, Visual Studio and Visual Basic and a basic knowledge of HTML. Exposure to JavaScript would be helpful but not required. A basic knowledge of ADO.NET would be helpful for understanding the case study and some of the examples.
Hands-on/Lecture Ratio
This ASP.NET AJAX using Visual Basic training class is 70% hands-on, 30% lecture, with the longest lecture segments lasting for 20 minutes.

Software Needed on Each Student PC
The following software is required:
- A Windows operating system (XP, Vista or Windows 7) with the latest service pack
- Visual Studio 2010
- SQL Server 2008 Express Edition (included with Visual Studio)
- At least 2GB RAM; a dual-core CPU or better is strongly recommended
- AJAX Control toolkit, a free download
