Authorware Training Overview
Take your Authorware skills to the next level by mastering Authorware's built-in Knowledge Objects and programming capabilities! This Authorware® training class will enable you to accelerate your development time and increase the flexibility of the applications you develop.
Location and Pricing
Most Accelebrate courses are taught on-site at our clients' locations worldwide for groups of 3 or more attendees and are customized to their specific needs. Authorware Training Prerequisites
Beginning Authorware training or equivalent experience.
Hands-on/Lecture Ratio
This Authorware training class is 70% hands-on, 30% lecture, with the longest lecture segments lasting for 15 minutes. Students "learn by doing," with immediate opportunities to apply the material they learn to real-world problems.
Authorware Training Materials
All students receive a copy of OnWord Press's latest Authorware book and related course material.
Software Needed on Each Student PC
- Authorware 6, 6.5, 7, or later (Authorware 7.02 or later recommended)
- Firefox 2.0 or later or Internet Explorer 6 or later
Authorware Training Objectives
- To learn how to use the full range of Authorware Knowledge Objects to facilitate rapid development of e-learning applications
- To master the fundamentals of Authorware programming in order to build more powerful, flexible applications
Note: Authorware 7 supports JavaScript as a programming language in addition to the traditional Authorware programming language (which resembles Pascal). This course can be taught using either JavaScript (supported by Authorware 7 and later) or Authorware's traditional language (supported by all versions of Authorware. If you have Authorware 7, we strongly recommend that this course be taught using JavaScript, as the JavaScript skills students learn will be very applicable to any future Dreamweaver or Flash development they do.
