Drupal Training Overview
Accelebrate's Introduction to PHP and Drupal 6 Development training teaches attendees new to PHP and Drupal development how to build heavily customized Drupal solutions.

Drupal Training Prerequisites
This course presumes extensive prior familiarity with HTML and CSS. Prior experience developing server-side web applications is strongly recommended.
Hands-on/Lecture Ratio
This Drupal training class is 70% hands-on, 30% lecture, with the longest lecture segments lasting for 10 minutes. Students "learn by doing," with immediate opportunities to apply the material they learn to real-world problems.
Drupal Training Materials
All attendees receive a copy of Apress' Pro Drupal Development, Addison-Wesley's PHP and MySQL Web Development, as well as related courseware.

Drupal Training Objectives
Students will learn to:
- Build interactive, data-driven sites using PHP
- Use PHP to process forms, work with cookies, and use Objects in N-Tier Web Architecture
- Install Drupal and use the Admin interface, Layouts, Out of the Box Modules, and the File System
- Use the Drupal administrative interface for content management and site configuration
- Enable out of the box (Core) modules to extend the functionality of the core web site
- Customize layout using blocks and regions
- Implement Drupal modules including custom content types
- Create a View for content presentation using the VIEWS module
- Use the Content Construction Kit (CCK) to dynamically create content types to be stored in the web site's database
- Use XML-RPC to allow complex data structures to be transmitted, processed and returned
