Backbone.js Training Overview
Accelebrate’s Backbone.js training teaches experienced HTML and JavaScript developers how to design and structure web applications using the Backbone.js framework.
Location and Pricing
Most Accelebrate courses are taught on-site at our clients' locations worldwide for groups of 3 or more attendees and are customized to their specific needs. Backbone.js Training Prerequisites
All attendees must have extensive prior experience with HTML and JavaScript. If attendees do not have these prerequisites, we could precede this training with a half-day of HTML and/or up to two days of JavaScript fundamentals.
Hands-on/Lecture Ratio
This Backbone.js training class is 70% hands-on, 30% lecture, with the longest lecture segments lasting for 15 minutes. Students "learn by doing," with immediate opportunities to apply the material they learn to real-world problems.
Backbone.js Training Materials
All students will receive the e-book Recipes with Backbone: Strategies to Accelerate Development with Backbone.js by Nick Gauthier and Chris Strom as well as electronic copies of the class files.
Software Needed on Each Student PC
- All attendees will need a web server with Ruby and Rails support, on any OS that support them. In the planning for your class, we would discuss your environment and provide you with detailed setup specs for this environment.
- An IDE/editor of your choice with strong JavaScript support
- Google Chrome or Firefox with Firebug (http://getfirebug.com)
- Internet access for all attendees and our instructor
