Note: As of version 4, this product is now called Adobe Contribute. Our course can be tailored to teach any version of Contribute and to address your specific projects and environment.

Macromedia Contribute Training Overview

Macromedia Contribute makes it easier for authorized individuals to rapidly publish and change content on your Web site, even if these individuals are non-technical. Contribute facilitates content conversion from Microsoft Word or Excel, enforces site design standards, enables you to roll back undesirable site changes, and allows you to grant specific individuals access to change only certain areas of your Web site.

This Macromedia Contribute training course, customized to the needs of your specific group, teaches attendees how to use Contribute to its fullest potential.

Location and Pricing

Most Accelebrate courses are taught on-site at our clients' locations worldwide for groups of 3 or more attendees and are customized to their specific needs. Please visit our client list to see organizations for whom we have recently delivered training. To receive a customized proposal and price quote, please contact us.

In addition, some courses are available as live, online classes for individuals.  To see a schedule of online courses, please visit http://www.accelebrate.com/online_training/adobe.htm.

Macromedia Contribute Training Prerequisites

Since Contribute integrates with Dreamweaver, it is strongly recommended that all Macromedia Contribute training attendees be familiar with Dreamweaver. If attendees will not be familiar with Dreamweaver, a primer on the necessary features can be integrated into this course upon request.

Hands-on/Lecture Ratio

This Macromedia Contribute training class is 70% hands-on, 30% lecture, with the longest lecture segments lasting for 15 minutes. Students "learn by doing," with immediate opportunities to apply the material they learn to real-world problems.

Macromedia Contribute Training Materials

All students receive a copy of Peachpit Press's Macromedia Contribute for Windows or Macintosh: Visual QuickStart Guide, related courseware, and a CD-R copy of the files they create during the class.

Software Needed on Each Student PC

  • Firefox 2.0 or later or Internet Explorer 6 or later
  • Dreamweaver MX 6.1 or later (6.0 users can download an upgrade to 6.1 from Macromedia's Web site)
  • Macromedia Contribute 2, 3, 4, or later
  • Note: This class can be taught for Windows or MacOS audiences.

Macromedia Contribute Training Objectives

  • To learn how to create Web pages in Contribute
  • For Contribute site administrators:
    • To master setting user permissions to give each editor of the site the appropriate level of permissions for the appropriate pages, supporting files, and directories
