Apache Training Overview
Apache httpd is the world's leading Web server software, with a commanding 55% market share. In this course, attendees learn how to set up, configure, administer, and secure Apache httpd.
Location and Pricing
Most Accelebrate courses are taught on-site at our clients' locations worldwide for groups of 3 or more attendees and are customized to their specific needs. Please visit our client list to see organizations for whom we have recently delivered training. To receive a customized proposal and price quote, please contact us.
In addition, some courses are available as live, online classes for individuals. To see a schedule of online courses, please visit http://www.accelebrate.com/online_training/.
Apache Training Prerequisites
All attendees should be familiar with general principles of Web server administration and have some experience building Web applications.
Hands-on/Lecture Ratio
This Apache httpd training class is 70% hands-on, 30% lecture, with the longest lecture segments lasting for 20 minutes. Students "learn by doing," with immediate opportunities to apply the material they learn to real-world problems.
Apache Training Materials
All Apache httpd training students receive a copy of Apress' Pro Apache, related courseware, and a CD-R copy of the files they create during the class.
Software Needed on Each Student PC
This course can be taught either of 2 ways:
Using the Windows version of Apache 1.3, 2.0, 2.2, or later. The instructor brings all software needed for class on flash drives, and students install/configure the software as part of the training. Students need local administrator rights and the PCs should have at least 1GB of RAM
OR
Using Apache in a Linux virtual machine (any version of Apache can be taught). We would send you a DVD with the virtual machine in advance for installation. Classroom PCs should have:
