Apache Training Overview
Apache httpd is the world's leading Web server software, with a commanding 55% market share. In this course, attendees learn how to set up, configure, administer, and secure Apache httpd.

Apache Training Prerequisites
All attendees should be familiar with general principles of Web server administration and have some experience building Web applications.
Hands-on/Lecture Ratio
This Apache httpd training class is 70% hands-on, 30% lecture, with the longest lecture segments lasting for 20 minutes. Students "learn by doing," with immediate opportunities to apply the material they learn to real-world problems.

All Apache httpd training students receive a copy of Apress' Pro Apache and related courseware.
Software Needed on Each Student PC
This course can be taught either of 2 ways:
Using the Windows version of Apache 2.0, 2.2, 2.4, or later. You download a single bundle of files to each PC, and students install/configure the software as part of the training. Students need local administrator rights and the PCs should have at least 2GB of RAM (3GB RAM or more recommended).
OR
Using Apache in a Linux or Solaris virtual machine (any version of Apache can be taught). We would provide the virtual machine in advance for installation. Classroom PCs should have:
