lighttpd Training Overview
Accelebrate's lighttpd training teaches attendees how to install, configure, performance tune, and administer the popular lighttpd web server.

lighttpd Training Prerequisites
No prior experience with lighttpd is presumed.
Hands-on/Lecture Ratio
This lighttpd training class is 70% hands-on, 30% lecture, with the longest lecture segments lasting for 20 minutes. Students "learn by doing," with immediate opportunities to apply the material they learn to real-world problems.

Software Needed on Each Student PC
This course is taught using lighttpd in a Linux or Solaris virtual machine and can be tailored to any version of lighttpd 1.4 or later. We would provide you with the virtual machine in advance for installation. Classroom PCs should have:
- At least 1GB RAM and 10GB hard drive space
- The latest version of VMware Player (http://www.vmware.com/download/player/download.html) if you're running this class on Linux; for Solaris, we use Sun's free VirtualBox (http://www.virtualbox.org/)
- An unzipped copy of the image we send you on DVD
