Oracle 11g New Features Training Prerequisites
Experience administering an earlier version of Oracle® is mandatory. If the attendees have not previously administered Oracle, they should take Oracle 11g Administration I training, Oracle 11g Administration II training and Oracle 11g Backup & Recovery training.
Hands-on/Lecture Ratio
This course is 60% hands-on, 40% discussion, with the longest discussion segments lasting 20 minutes.

Oracle 11g New Features Training Objectives
All attendees will learn to:
- Understand changes, enhancements and new features within the database architecture
- Work with the database parameters and the utilities and facilities used by administrators
- Master using the Fault Diagnosability Infrastructure now included within the database
- Use the first-failure data capture capabilities which enhance problem troubleshooting, diagnosis and resolution
- Use the new Security enhancements
- Use the RMAN framework enhancements for Backup and recovery
- Duplicate and clone databases for the creation of test platforms, standby database installations and application workload replay
- Guide the recovery of database failures and corruption using the Data Recovery Advisor
- Use the Automatic Storage Management (ASM) enhancements and other storage improvements
- Implement the Real Application Testing technology available with the Oracle 11g database
- Perform the capture of a production database workload while not interfering with the applications or users involved.
- Replay the production workload on a test database configuration
- Configure clients which will simulate the network interaction of real-world users in a test configuration
- Perform a detailed analysis of application execution within proposed database configurations
- Use the SQL Performance Analyzer tool
