Advanced PHP Training Overview
Accelebrate's Advanced PHP training class teaches attendees advanced PHP skills, including object-oriented development, processing XML, creating and consuming SOAP-based and RESTful web services, handling AJAX calls, extending PHP with PEAR, and securing PHP. Throughout the course, best practices for PHP development are emphasized.
Location and Pricing
Most Accelebrate courses are taught on-site at our clients' locations worldwide for groups of 3 or more attendees and are customized to their specific needs. Advanced PHP Training Prerequisites
All attendees must be familiar with the fundamentals of building data-driven PHP web applications, either from their own experience or from Accelebrate's Introduction to PHP and MySQL training.
Hands-on/Lecture Ratio
This PHP training class is 70% hands-on, 30% lecture, with the longest lecture segments lasting for 10 minutes. Students "learn by doing," with immediate opportunities to apply the material they learn to real-world problems.
Advanced PHP Training Materials
All attendees receive comprehensive courseware and a copy of O'Reilly's PHP Cookbook.
Software Needed on Each Student PC
The following should be installed on each student PC:
- Linux, Windows, MacOS X, or Solaris operating system
- Web server (either Apache httpd or Microsoft IIS)
- PHP 5.2 or later with the PEAR extensions enabled
- MySQL™ 5 or later, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or later, Microsoft Access 2003 or later, or Oracle 9i or later
- Internet Explorer 7 or later or Firefox 3 or later
- PHP development environment of your choice
XAMPP (http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html) is an easy to install Apache-MySQL-PHP stack that we highly recommend for class.
