PowerShell Training Overview
Accelebrate's Beginning PowerShell training course teaches attendees to use Microsoft's PowerShell scripting environment for Windows and server administration. This course guides students through the essentials of what PowerShell is, how it works, and how to use it to make everyday administrative tasks faster, easier, and more consistent.
Location and Pricing
Most Accelebrate courses are taught on-site at our clients' locations worldwide for groups of 3 or more attendees and are customized to their specific needs. These courses can also be delivered as live, private online classes for groups that are geographically dispersed or wish to save on the instructor's or students' travel expenses. PowerShell Training Prerequisites
All attendees should have 1-2 years (or more) of Windows operating system administration experience. Prior familiarity with Active Directory is helpful but not required.
Hands-on/Lecture Ratio
This PowerShell training class is 70% hands-on, 30% lecture, with the longest lecture segments lasting for 20 minutes.

All attendees receive comprehensive courseware and a related textbook.
Software Needed on Each Student PC
This PowerShell training course requires
- Windows XP SP3 or later with at least 1GB RAM; or Windows Vista, 7, Server 2003, Server 2008, or later with at least 2GB RAM and the latest service packs installed
- Windows PowerShell 2.0, available from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/968929. On this page, scroll about 55% of the way down until you get to the subhead that says "Windows Management Framework Core (WinRM 2.0 and Windows PowerShell 2.0)" Please install the version for your OS and bitness (32-bit versus 64-bit)
- CD-ROM drive (the course lab files come on CD-ROM)
