Regular Expressions Training Overview

Regular expressions are a cross-platform, cross-language set of tools for finding, extracting, and replacing text patterns. Regular expressions are supported by Java, .NET, Visual Basic, JavaScript, Perl, PHP, ColdFusion, and most other modern programming languages. In this course, attendees master the fundamentals of regular expressions in a fun, hands-on environment.

No prior experience is presumed.

Hands-on/Lecture Ratio

This Regular Expressions training class is 70% hands-on, 30% lecture, with the longest lecture segments lasting for 15 minutes. Students "learn by doing," with immediate opportunities to apply the material they learn to real-world problems.

All Regular Expressions training students receive a copy of Sam's Teach Yourself Regular Expressions in 10 Minutes, related courseware, and a CD-R copy of the files they create during the class.
