SharePoint Training Overview

In this SharePoint Designer training course, students learn to create interactive Web pages complete with Cascading Style Sheets, Lists, Libraries, and customized Web parts. Attendees will also master how to add data sources, create workflows and applications to enhance their team's productivity.

Location and Pricing

Most Accelebrate courses are taught on-site at our clients' locations worldwide for groups of 3 or more attendees and are customized to their specific needs. These courses can also be delivered as live, private online classes for groups that are geographically dispersed or wish to save on the instructor's or students' travel expenses. SharePoint Training Prerequisites

No prior SharePoint Designer experience is presumed.

Hands-on/Lecture Ratio

This SharePoint training class is 70% hands-on, 30% lecture, with the longest lecture segments lasting 20 minutes.

SharePoint Training Materials

All attendees receive a copy of Microsoft Press's Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007 Step by Step, which is used as the instructional guide for the course.

Software Needed on Each Student PC

  • Windows Server 2003 with WSS 3.0 or MOSS 2007
  • Office 2007 and SharePoint Designer 2007
  • InfoPath 2007 is recommended but not required
  • 4GB RAM or higher

Alternatively, if you have a central SharePoint Server and Site Collection Administrator permissions, we can work with your server during the class. Locally on each PC, we would then need:

  • Windows Server 2003 or 2008 with WSS 3.0 or MOSS 2007
  • InfoPath 2007 is recommended but not required
  • At least 2GB RAM
  • Access from Internet Explorer (7 or later) and SharePoint Designer 2007 to your SharePoint server
