Accelebrate's Building Windows Applications with VB.NET 2005 training class teaches experienced developers the VB.NET, ADO.NET, and Visual Studio .NET 2005 skills they need to successfully build database-driven Windows applications and services.

VB.NET 2005 Training Prerequisites

At least one year of consistent object-oriented or object-based development experience in Java, C++, Visual Basic, or another modern object-oriented or object-based language.  In addition, all VB.NET training attendees should know the basics of SQL and relational databases.

Hands-on/Lecture Ratio

This VB.NET training class is 70% hands-on, 30% lecture, with the longest lecture segments lasting for 15-20 minutes.

VB.NET 2005 Training Materials

All VB.NET training students receive more than 500 pages of comprehensive courseware and a related textbook.

Software Needed on Each Student PC

  • Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows Server 2003
  • Optional: Internet Information Server 5, 6, 7, or later (enable prior to loading SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio 2005)
  • Visual Studio 2005 (or 2008) (with SQL Server Express enabled)
  • If instruction on .NET Framework 3.0 or 3.5 is desired, please install the .NET Framework 3.0 or 3.5 SDK
  • A minimum of 1GB RAM
