Duration: 1 day
view class outline Schematron Training Overview
Accelebrate's Introduction to Schematron training teaches attendees how to use Schematron, defined at http://www.schematron.com as a language for making assertions about the presence or absence of patterns in XML documents.
Location and Pricing
Most Accelebrate courses are taught on-site at our clients' locations worldwide for groups of 3 or more attendees and are customized to their specific needs. Please visit our client list to see organizations for whom we have recently delivered training. These courses can also be delivered as live, private online classes for groups that are geographically dispersed or wish to save on the instructor's or students' travel expenses. To receive a customized proposal and price quote private training at your site or online, please contact us.
In addition, some courses are available as live, online classes for individuals. To see a schedule of online courses, please visit http://www.accelebrate.com/online_training/?action=categorygroup&page=xml.
Schematron Training Prerequisites
All attendees must have a solid understanding of XML and what makes an XML document well-formed. Prior XPath and or XML Schema experience is helpful but not required.
Hands-on/Lecture Ratio
This Schematron training class is 70% hands-on, 30% lecture, with the longest lecture segments lasting for 15 minutes. Students "learn by doing," with immediate opportunities to apply the material they learn to real-world problems.
Schematron Training Materials
All attendees will receive comprehensive courseware.
Software Needed on Each Student PC
- An XML editor that understands Schematron (if you have no preference yet, Accelebrate can make suggestions).

I came away from this class with a good ability to read and understand an XML schema. After just two days, I feel comfortable working with schemas and know this will help me greatly as I encounter them in the future. Thank you. |
