XML Training Overview

XML (Extensible Markup Language) has emerged as the leading standard for data interchange between applications and between organizations. In this XML training class, attendees learn the core fundamentals of XML and its related technologies: XML, XSL, DTD, XML Schema, XPath, and more.

Location and Pricing

Most Accelebrate courses are taught on-site at our clients' locations worldwide for groups of 3 or more attendees and are customized to their specific needs. Please visit our client list to see organizations for whom we have recently delivered training. To receive a customized proposal and price quote, please contact us.

In addition, some courses are available as live, online classes for individuals.  To see a schedule of online courses, please visit http://www.accelebrate.com/online_training/xml_html_js.htm.

XML Training Prerequisites

Prior knowledge of HTML and/or relational databases is helpful but not necessary.

Hands-on/Lecture Ratio

This XML training class is 70% hands-on, 30% lecture, with the longest lecture segments lasting for 15 minutes. Students "learn by doing," with immediate opportunities to apply the material they learn to real-world problems.

XML Training Materials

All XML training students receive a copy of O'Reilly's XML in a Nutshell, related courseware, and a CD-R copy of the files they create during the class.

Software Needed on Each Student PC

  • Internet Explorer 5.5 or later
  • An XML or text editor of your choice (such as XMLSpy, Textpad, and other tools)
  • An XSL Transform (XSLT) engine of your choice
  • Please contact us for detailed setup instructions

XML Training Objectives

  • To learn how XML and its related technologies function and how they facilitate integration between applications
