Tableau Bootcamp (5 half days, June 8 - 12)

Attendees learn the basic and advanced features of Tableau and how to use Tableau Desktop to quickly and comprehensively analyze and present data. After learning the fundamentals, students take their Tableau skills to the next level with advanced calculations, enhanced dashboard interactivity, and advanced analytics.

  • Monday - Friday, June 8 - 12 (12 pm - 4 pm ET / 9 am – 1 pm PT)

About the instructor
A seasoned data storyteller, Tableau consultant, and trainer, Brandi Cade uses her expertise in graphic design and data visualization to encourage business innovation, productivity, and strategic growth. Brandi has taught Tableau to clients at Fortune 100 companies, government agencies, and small businesses, teaching them how to use Tableau to inspect, clean, transform, and model data to track and discover valuable insights.

 


Advanced Tableau / New Features (4 half days, June 15 - 18)

Attendees learn how to use the key new features of Tableau to gain valuable business insights, incorporate segmentation, and find outliers or anomalies. Participants add advanced interactivity to dashboards, apply use cases to a variety of business scenarios, and more.

About the instructor
As an early adopter of Tableau, Ryan Nokes has evolved along with the software. Ryan has used Tableau in a variety of different industries, including telecom, banking, and e-commerce. He has also used Tableau for a variety of different departments, including marketing and sales, operations, customer support, and at the C-Suite level. Ryan has taught Tableau to clients at Fortune 1000 companies, is the author of the book Tableau Like a Pro, and holds the Tableau Qualified Associate certification.

 


Python Programming and Python Analytics (5 half days, June 15 - 19)

Attendees start with Python fundamentals and progress to the most important Python modules for working with data. Core programming structures, basic data analysis, and plotting results are all covered. Prior programming experience in a modern language is presumed.  Prior Python experience is not presumed.

Software Requirements
All attendees should have a full installation of the free Anaconda distribution of Python 3.x and download related lab files that Accelebrate will provide.  By default, the class will use Jupyter notebooks and Anaconda's Spyder IDE, but attendees are welcome to use any other modern code editor with Python support (e.g., PyCharm, Visual Studio Code, etc.).  Detailed setup specs will be provided after registration and prior to class.

He has been involved with BusinessObjects user meetings in 20+ North American cities as the main presenter. Michael has also presented for more than 15 years at IBIS, one of the largest annual conferences dedicated to BusinessObjects. Michael was a BusinessObjects partner for 7+ years, and for the last 4 years has been working with the developers of SAP Paris on new features and functions.

 


Advanced Web Intelligence Reporting (2 half days, July 16 - 17)

Attendees master how to use variables and functions in their reports, produce reports based on data from multiple providers, drill up/down/across data, perform combination queries, and more.  Students attending this course must have previously attended Beginning and Intermediate Web Intelligence Reporting or have equivalent experience.
