Groovy, Grails, and Gradle Training
Our Groovy, Grails, and Gradle Training Courses
What are Groovy, Grails, and Gradle?
Groovy is an object-oriented, dynamic language on the Java platform. Groovy enables developers to accomplish more with less code than Java, while still enjoying broad cross-platform compatibility since Groovy code is compiled to Java bytecode.
Grails is a Groovy-based, open-source framework for building web applications. It seeks to boost developer productivity by automating generation of standard code for common tasks and shielding the developer from many configuration tasks. Many popular web applications, including Banner by Elucian (a higher-education ERP), are built using Grails.
Gradle is project automation and build system for Groovy and Java projects that seeks to supersede earlier tools such as Ant and Maven. Gradle projects use a Groovy-based domain specific language rather than XML.
